Le Pont du Gril de Corbelin

The bridge is located south of the village of Griselles. It crosses a tributary of the Loing, the Cléry. It dates from the 12th century and the beginning of the 13th century. It was the monks of Ferrières en Gâtinais who built the bridge to filter the detritus upstream of the Cléry.

It is a bridge with seven arches of unequal size. At the exit of the arches of the bridge, the river forms a waterfall whose roar can be heard from quite a distance and immediately splits into two arms to encircle a small island. Next to it there used to be a kind of abyss into which the overflow of the flooding river flowed. Because of the danger of this roadside abyss, it was filled in with rocks, but the location is still visible.
