Roseraie Marcel Robichon
Located near the Saint-Lubin church, the Yèvre-le-Châtel rose garden is dedicated to Marcel Robichon, the famous rose gardener. It takes the form of a garland of flowers named after the last rose he created.
As a stopover on the Loiret Rose Route, and one of only two villages in France to be awarded the "Remarkable Garden" label, Yèvre-le-Châtel needed to offer visitors a place more specifically dedicated to roses. Thus was born the project of a rose garden dedicated to Marcel Robichon?s varieties, following the example of the one at La-Neuville-sur-Essonne, which features André Eve?s roses.
The rose garden will follow the chronology of Marcel Robichon?s creations. The forty or so new varieties he produced will find their place in a Guirlande fleurie named after the last rose he created. Already, climbing roses, bushes and perennials alternate in this garland over a hundred meters.
Sculptures by contemporary artists have also been installed.
