Former Internment Camp
From 1941 to 1945 in the camp of Jargeau, 1700 people including 1200 nomads were locked. By the number of people interned and its operating time, Jargeau is one of the most important camps of internment of nomads in France.
The camp made way for the secondary school and there is now nothing left. A commemorative plaque and two exhibition panels tell the story of this camp and the hard-daily life of its prisoners.
