Yèvre-le-Châtel, dominated by its medieval fortress, is listed as one of "France's most beautiful villages" and is one of only two villages in France to have been awarded the "Remarkable Garden" label.

Situated on a rocky outcrop overlooking the Rimarde river, Yèvre-le-Châtel is listed as one of the "Most Beautiful Villages in France" and is one of only two villages in France to have been awarded the "Remarkable Garden" label.

The tour takes in the medieval fortress and its entrance castelet, the postern, the ramparts, the Saint-Gault church, the romantic remains of the Saint-Lubin church, a rose garden and the village's charming flower-filled streets and alleyways, dotted with contemporary sculptures.

In the château's high courtyard, medieval squares display over 150 aromatic and medicinal plants.
